Smallville Episode Guide – Season Six Finale (cont.)
A major topic going to be addressed in this post of the Smallville episode guide, the question of whether or not Lana is dead. This idea has been thrown around for the last couple seasons, especially when we found out that someone close to Clark was going to die in season five. She was even dead for a very short period of time in episode 12 of season five. Some Smallville fans have even been grumbling about the situation between Clark and Lana for sometime now. It appears, at least for now, that those who dislike Lana Lang will get their wish as she has apparently been killed.
Lana’s death brings about some other questions. For one, who is responsible for the murder of Lana Lang? The obvious choice, as indicated by the end of the season finale, is the Lex is responsible for his soon-to-be ex-wife’s death. While he played dumb when Clark confronted him about it, Lex has always been quite a good liar. In fact, earlier in the episode, he did a great job of playing dumb when Lana confronted him about the fake pregnancy. Back to the subject at hand though; Lex has been arrested for the murder of Lana, but do we really think Lex is going to be in jail?
Is Lex being arrested going to be anything like when Lionel was arrested? Is Lex going to have some sort of epiphany and turn into a “good guy?” Will Lex really end up in jail? Is Lana actually going to be dead? I’m sure many of you fans wish she would finally be off the show. The stupid back and forth between her and Clark is getting pretty old.
The other person I think could be involved in the murder of Lana is Lionel Luthor. He seemed to have quite the transformation from evil to good in season six
, but sometimes we couldn’t be sure exactly what his motives were. He seemed to be very involved in doing what he could to protect Clark, which included blackmailing Lana into marrying Lex. However, how can we fans know exactly what was going on between Lana and Lionel? It just seems that Lionel is as likely to have blown up Lana’s car as Lex.
